Room 413 [morning]

Mar 21, 2008 11:24

When Evey woke on Friday morning, she was warm and curled up in Karal's arms.

That, of course, only lasted until the owner of those arms had to go tend to his horse. She stayed in bed, though, based on the assurance that he would return quickly.

Besides, it was warm and nice.

[for that person who lives here.]

this is not my room, karal's insane roommate, karal

When Aravis ducked back into her room for a few changes of clothes and perhaps to actually say hello to her roommate for the first time since last week, she wasn't expecting to be met with a number of factors about the room.

Generally speaking, there weren't usually three lifelike-looking babies on her bed, and the tangle of honey-colored curls she could see over in Karal's bed when she jerked her gaze that way was both too light and too long to be Karal's, and the form under the cover looked far too small.

This was highly confusing.

"...what the hell is going on here?" she asked, a touch more loudly than probably necessary. She wanted the strange girl to wake up, after all.

Evey cracked an eyelid at the intrusion, confused by the presence of the other girl in the room.

What she probably should have said was not, "Hush, you'll wake the babies."

But that's what she said, anyway.

"The babies?" Aravis asked, her voice spiking. "Why is there an unwed mother of triplets in my room, sleeping in my roommate's bed and telling me how loud to be in my own damned room?"

"Oh, you're Karal's roommate," she realized, sitting up a bit in bed and offering a little smile. "Good morning. I was wondering if you'd ever turn up. Though he might be making you up."
