[The video feed flickers on to show a girl with bright pink hair who is smiling brightly. She hasn’t been here long, but long enough to get the gist of what is going on, and well - she has a few thoughts on it.]

A world where dreams are a sort of magic. Doesn’t that sound wonderful? [She giggles a little after saying that.] It seems from what ( Read more... )

[ Harry saw the feed and his mouth literally drops in surprise. It's been almost a year since he last saw Estelle and seeing her here again is quite a shock. You'd think by now the boy would be used to it, not to mention a little more wary about people arriving and not remembering their first visit; he's been through three Hermione's after all. ]

Estelle! It's good to see you!

[To say Estelle is shocked that this person apparently knows her is quite the understatement. She had never seen him in her life and yet he knew her by her nickname. That was…she couldn’t help but shake her head at that. She’s pretty sure that she introduced herself as ‘Estellise’ so…

But perhaps this world is magical like that?]

I must apologize as I honestly don’t know who you are. However, yes I am called Estelle and it is nice to see you as well!

[No need to be rude. If he wants to be on a friendly basis like this already, she’s not going to fight it!]

[ Harry falters a bit at that. The smile returns quickly however as he remembers two things. 1)People always come and go in Somarium and don't remember their time here, and 2) Nothing really serious had happened between them, so there was nothing to be sad about. ]

Sorry, I guess you don't remember your last time here.

[Estelle honestly can’t help but blink dumbfoundedly at that. She was here before? That can’t be possible, as she has no recollection of this world whatsoever. Then again, if this is a dreamland…perhaps it was a dream she didn’t remember and he did?]

I am afraid that may have been a dream I forgot. [She looks apologetic for forgetting him. But honestly, that’s the only conclusion she can come up with right now.]

[Wow. The amount of sweetness in the young woman's introduction to the rest of this world is almost...unbelievable. The snarky part of Desmond wants to snort at it, while the reasonable part of himself feels like she shouldn't have said all of those things about herself. Who knows how bad people could put this to their advantages.]

Actually, every thing you see around is fueled by dream energy. Or so we've been told recently. [He follows the feed, but is not sure he understood the whole thing correctly.]

And, just so you know, this world isn't always sunshine and butterflies. [Amazingly, this is not said to break her spirit. Desmond is just trying to warn her, so she doesn't get into troubles more than she should. There's a killer on the loose as well as a crazy lady that likes to trap people in nightmares after all.]

I was told that this world could thrive without this ‘dream energy’, however that is helps those of us that do have, ah, supernatural abilities to be able to use them. [Though her bright smile doesn’t fade in the least. Perhaps everything did run on dream energy. In any case, it is something she will look into in the future. It sounds like it’s a rather complex thing to explain, and knowing herself, she would understand it better if she read it from a book. That way, strange misinterpretations of what people say won’t occur.]

[Though at his next statement, she can’t help but pout.] I know that. [Doesn’t mean she likes it though. And soon after, her pout fades back into a smile.] I will be on my guard if that is what you are telling me. I thank you for your concern. Once I am able to find a sword and a shield, I assure you I will have the proper equipment to defend myself in the case I need to.

[Desmond raises an eyebrow inquiringly: he's heard of 'surpernatural abilities' in this world, but has yet to be faced with some.]

I'll take your words on it concerning the 'special talents'.

[The novice blinks, surprised by what the pink haired just said]

You know how to use a sword? No offense, but you don't really look like the warrior type. [She seems way too nice for that.]

[She can't help but give an enthusiastic nod at that. It's strange that someone is questioning her, especially since in her world, if one is equipped with a Blastia, then they can learn to use magic.]

Yes, I was trained by knights how to use a sword and shield. [While she is kind, she is hardly afraid to fight something or someone when she is being threatened. What was that phrase... Looks can be deceiving?] If need be, I am fully capable of fighting in battles. [Warrior + healer = best person ever to have as an ally.]

[he actually recognizes her, even if it had been a very long time. but he's not going to make any mention of that since it was pretty obvious that she had no recollection. it was easier this way.]

It is amazing, isn't it? I could hardly believe it when I first came here.

[slight tilt of the head.] But I'm not sure if you would be a poison...

Yes, it is. Honestly, it sounds like something I have read in many fantasy novels. [Her expression is currently calm and in fact currently shows a little bit of childlike wonder. Indeed she should be at home preparing for the battle against Duke, but either she is dreaming or there is no way out. No need to get terribly worked up about it.

She can't help but giggle at the next part.]

I'm really glad you think I wouldn't be a poison. I most certainly hope that I'm not. However, if this world is really a dream, then I imagine that I am more than likely not one.

To be truthful, I cannot even imagine how a lovely and sweet young maiden such as yourself could be even considered such a thing! You are more of a beautiful rose than the thorn.

[She giggles a little before she speaks, a tint of red on her cheeks.] Your words are quite flattering. However, what I have said was once true in my world. I can assure you that all is fine now - I was simply worried about my being brought here and the fate of this world. Perhaps I jumped to a conclusion too quickly.

Why would you think you'd be a poison?

[It's a little odd to hear someone say that, though she doesn't understand people and their own worlds.]

In my world, I was born with a power, but that power used so much of my world's most necessary resource, Aer, that it was causing it to slowly die.

[Her smile turns melancholic after she says that.]

However, with the help of my friends, I was able to get it under control with a spirit named Undine.

[And then the smile fades some more, but it's still there. Then realization hits her as she shakes her head and that bright smile returns once more.]

No, everything should be fine.

[Because before she turned Belius into Undine, Rita had reformatted the formula in her body to use her own life force rather than Aer. So, it's a bit late, but she needn't worry about possibly using too much of this world's energy. And Kid told her that this world could thrive without dream energy.

Oh, she was really jumping the gun in that line of thought. She's still used to her world that she naturally jumped to hasty conclusions, but alas, everything should be fine, right?]

[Fiona sat there and took all the information in, okay compared to what she had been through involving alchemy which she had enough of to last her a lifetime it seemed that other people from other worlds go through an awful lot, proberly much worse than what she had. Pausing for a moment afterwards, she wasn't sure what to do. Should she smile, should she say something, anything would be nice.]

I'm sure everything will be fine, after all since I arrived here nothing too terrible has happened.

[Sort of, but she doesn't know about much going on in a large place like this.]

That is honestly good to know.

[She took this woman for her word that everything would be alright. That kind of positive energy was something Estelle was always able to take in with ease. So she just smiles back at her, and then offers a light giggle.]

I don't believe I ever was told your name. As I have said, my name is Estellise.

[these days, it isn't very often where Maka's raising her brows at something said regarding the world they were in; she had been around for so long and gathered so much, usually she found herself with the explanations...

but raising her brows was exactly what she was doing right now. wait, what?]

... Allows people to use magic? It's true that this dream energy stuff acts as a sort of fuel around here, but that's one I've never heard before.

[Estelle is comparing the dream energy to the Aer in her world, which allows everyone to use magic - at least everyone that is equipped with a Blastia. Given the look she received from this girl, she can understand her confusion.]

Oh, perhaps the way I worded it was wrong. I am so used to magic being something that everyone can use, but perhaps that is not the case in this world. From what I was told, the dream energy is fuel for those that already have supernatural abilities, would that be correct?

Hm... I'm not sure, but I wonder. As far as I know, we've just been able to use what we have because we always had them. I've been told that the dream energy fuels just about everything else, though.

['Because they just have them.' That honestly makes sense to Estelle, but even her healing capabilities still required Aer.] So, the world you come from doesn't require any sort of special element for you to use your abilities?

[This is just general curiosity on her part now.]
