Wow, I can't believe that in a little over a week it is going to be October. This semester is going to fly by. I finally got settled a week ago. It was very overwhelming at first. The past couple days have been days from hell, and next week is going to be very busy too.
Dryland for hockey started last week. Everything was going great. It's hard work, but I love it. I feel so good after the hour is over. Everything was great until yesterday. We started off with 6 15sec sprints, 3 30sec sprints, but I could barely walk at the end. I wasn't out of breath, but my shins were killing me, again. I knew it was going to happen because Monday we did tons of impact drills. So I drag my ass off the field and go to the trainers, balling my eyes out because I know exatly what they are going to tell me. To make a long story short, I have to have a follow-up with the orthopedic from last year, probably have another bone scan to check for stress fractures, but most likely I have compartment syndrome. So basically for now, they will change my workout for me, hopefully I can still skate. But in the end, I'll have to have surgery if that's what I have. To test for compartment syndrome they put needles in your muscles after you run. Thye num your legs and stick needles in to measure the pressure. Say a little prayer that this doesn't have to happen.
But looking at the good side of life... I get to go to the Sox/Yankees game with Greg on Saturday. =)
It really is true, it happens when you least expect it.

Hope everyone is well...I miss you's... can't wait for Columbus Day Weekend-16 Days
