Yay. I actually liked marching this year...
:D
Hampton was kewlios. But...there were clowns... :O
Portsmouth was very intense. The street thingy was packed. SO intense.
"Hey, you all know the guy that screamed, 'Go you crazy Warriors!'? Yeah, well that was my dad."
^ That pretty much completed my day.
But before all that, when we were waiting to start marching, Drummer Boy Jake (freshmen, I remember him because he has a very similar hair cut to Remi...) comes up from his "spot" and asks if anyone of us wanted to trade instruments. Because I'm a FOOL, I traded with him. I was practically on the floor when he put the drums on me. It was pretty intense. But funny. I arched-my-back yet slouched, and the drums kinda rested on my thighs. So when I walked, I looked like I was trying to be gangster. Since I was holding the drum sticks, it was kinda hard to get a grip onto the...thingy that the drums sit on. LOL. I need to expand my vocabulary.
All the drummer people were banging on the drums, so I thought...WHY NOT? Yeah. Well. I SUCKED. I kept on hitting the sticks together. :/ But it's only because I kept on losing my balance...sorta...
Yeah. During the Hampton parade, there was this lady that was yelling, "Come on! PLAY!!!" And waved her arms madly trying to conduct something. Whatever.
Only KEWL band kids play PEP BAND music on the bus, and sing Barbie Girl and talk about how we have the Spice Girls CD.
I loved how Michelle decided to RUN to the sidewalk when we came by her work place. SOOOOOOO funny.
P.S. Kali Zirkle is a SUPERSTAR! The best part is, is that she has a Fan Club. What's even better, is that most of them are like under 10.
