Ever since the Six Flags trip it's been just like summer.
I've had nothing to do and lots of people to hang out with, but seemingly no time for everyone.
Yesterday was full of shopping and working on chemistry until about 1am with Josie and Nuole. Quite enjoyable.
Today, after getting woken up by more than 5 phone calls, I decided that I would stop trying to sleep and just shower and wake up.
After that I sat around watching crappy daytime dramas and Roseanne.
Farid, Daniel, Tom and Roveiza came by and I tried on a gown (and hopefully the same doesn't hold true for wedding dresses as it does for a graduation gown, because being the second person to walk out, I don't want to trip and embarrass myself or anything)
We played some European football.
Then i headed out to UNI. and learned about WoW. and smelled a lot of axe, relived some memories and then learned about oil and its uses in cars, and then chilled at Bo Bo China with Roveiza and Sergei.
came home. watched annoying crappy Chinese dramas.
and then hung out with Ben Tuttle over at Hooters and came to some revelations about that place.
I was 1) disappointed and 2) entertained by the place.
1) I was disappointed because the girls were not as hot as what Hooters makes them out to be. Like yes many of them had pretty big boobs, but they just didn't have the whole package. And a lot of them were college women and of course due to their massive amounts of drinking, the uniforms just did not suit them as well as they could've. And not very many of them had very nice asses, AND the nylons they wore made their legs look too dark and way too fake. And no this is not out of jealousy. i will admit some of them were pretty attractive, it just wasn't the majority.
2) No matter what anyone says, going into Hooters means you're going to be checking out the people that work there. There is no way you won't stare. Like, I found myself staring at them, and no matter how hard I tried to stop because I ddin't want to be rude, it was quite impossible. Like that place is made so that you stared at the women, the reputation and all the things said, you go there just to stare. And no matter how straight someone is, and even if you're not attracted to the women, you just can't not stare. It's quite impossible.
And those women have got to know it.
And yet, no matter how appealing flirting is, having to flirt with men that are 30-40 years older than you just doesn't seem very appealing. I mean how do you do it? The interactions between the girls and the men (especially since there was an adult baseball team there) was just highly amusing and interesting to see play out. But tips galore for her.
Also, being "objectified" (for a lack of a better term) once in a while can be a ego-boost and can give you more self-confidence. but if you're objectified the whole time you work and then outside of work (because you have to be proud of working at Hooters if you're going to work there), that would just be demoralizing and so hard and just make you kind of paranoid. i guess you just have to be of a certain mindset. ehh.
all in all, it just goes to say I would never work there (not only do I not have big enough boobs, but it's just not my kind of job), but it's entertaining to go in and eat some wings and watch the comings and goings.
and now I am here. contemplating whether I want to drive the van to school tomorrow or not. there are just too many minuses and not enough plusses.
