Well, good Lord! I haven't updated since mid-June. To those of you that actually read my journal: Fear not! My journal did not die, it was merely in a coma. I've been meaning to update for a while, really, but it seems the longer I wait to update, the harder it is to finally get around to it.

This time last week I was absolutely DYING to get out of my house and get back to school. My parents have been driving me NUTS, even moreso than usual because of all of this moving business. But now that I'm back at school, I can't wait 'til my next break! Haha. That's mostly due to that whole having to go to class thing though. My schedule is as follows:

Drawing 1: TTh 8:30-11:20 (Usually only lasts until 10 though)
General Biology 1: MWF 1:00-1:50
Biology Lab: T 1:00-2:50
Intermediate Writing: MWF 2:00-3:05
Aspects of Deviance: MWF 11:00-11:50

Pretty skimpy schedule, I know. I'm a slacker like that. All the classes seem fine so far. Drawing's cool except for being at 8:30. I think I'm going to really like Biology. The professor is a younger woman from Texas and she's hilarious. She made a joke about Snakes on a Plane during our first class, so she's aces in my book. Intermediate Writing and Aspects of Deviance are both dandy, especially since I had both of the professors last semester and I am wise to their ways.

I'm in the brand new dorm, which I think they only finished days before move-in. There are a few random things that were installed incorrectly (upside down doors??) or still needed to be installed (THE FRICKIN' CABLE!!!), but other than that the facility is pretty spiffy and it makes me feel like I'm at a REAL college. There's air conditioning, which I was without last year. The only downside is that it NEVER. TURNS. OFF. There is an "On" button and a "Cancel" button, but neither button does anything. The first night I spent there I almost froze to death.

Sharing a double with Sophie and Caroline is going really well, minus the few times they've locked me out of the bathroom. I really miss rooming with Janie though. People always say that best friends should never room together, but we really had a great time together and I can't remember having fought once. And, really, who else could deal with Janie's freak tendencies?

I also reeeeeeeally miss Jared, who left for basic training on August 1. I just got a letter from him today! Sadly, he did not return the favor by making his letter 4 pages (front and back) long like mine, but it made me soooo happy to hear from him (and to just get mail, because I am a whore for mail).

So, since I've finally managed to update, I think I definitely deserve some comments!!! (I'm a whore for comments, too.)
