[The feeling of seeing the town of Mayfield again after being stuck in that hellish place everyone was calling "Westport" is a feeling he never thought he could experience.
But now, he is most certainly back to wishing he was back home in Europe.]Something's up with that noise, no matter how I look at it

Geez, you're awfully sappy. Don't start being thankful or some shit that nothing bad's gone down yet - that's exactly what they want you to think! As far as I'm concerned, the less days we spend in this hellhole, the better.
[Still, if Germany's calling to confess his utmost adoration for the coolest, awesomest big brother ever, then it's Prussia's duty to hear him out!
...that is what he's calling for, right?]

Did you ever sort out what happened to you during Valentines' Day, Bruder? They did something to your memories... I couldn't decipher fact from fiction.
You were angry with me, for things that haven't happened yet.
[His tone seems to falter, but he doesn't pause when saying] I fear that I am destined to become your downfall.
Do you think Mayfield is still toying with us?

[Which isn't exactly true. He can't recall anything specific he said or why he felt the way he did, but...he does remember being absolutely furious with Germany, more furious than he's ever been at his brother in his entire life. And underneath that anger, a constant throb of hurt and betrayal...which is absolutely ridiculous, because Prussia can't think of any reason why he'd be so cold to his own little brother (other than maybe Germany picking Austria over him, but that problem's already been dealt with).
Clearly, it's just Mayfield trying to screw with him some more.]
Downfall? Hey, I'm doing awesome and that's not about to change any time soon! [He rolls his eyes.] Don't be stupid, Germany - obviously the town's still toying with us. It's always trying to do that!

Have you ever...wanted to know more about your future, during my time? I didn't tell you much when you asked the first time, beyond the fact that I was at war. I don't think you would be...happy, if I told you. I know you think you can change things, but no matter how I look at it, that can't be possible. People are leaving and coming back without their memories of this place all the time. You've come and gone already, many times, Bruder.
That's why I thought, maybe... Before Mayfield gets the chance to reveal those things to us, maybe it'd be better to share them on our own terms, at our own pace. I want to speak for myself. Is this making sense?
I know that Japan and some of the others are from the future. [Takes a breath.] I've decided I'm going to learn everything I can, Bruder. Before our memories are tinkered with again.

...all right. If it's really been over seventy years...then I want to know what's been happening to you. Even if we don't share the same memories, I want to at least know what's been going on in your life. [If it'll help bridge this gap he's been feeling between them, this feeling of being out of the loop with his own little brother, then Prussia's willing to listen.]
I still stand by what I said, though. Nothing's ever set in stone. Us being in this town in the first place is proof of that.
