[[ooc: Backdated to a short time (within a day or two?) after
Prussia's entry inquiring about the status of Germany's purity.]]

What do you two think you're doing?!

Everything's fine. No problems.
[Just trying to work his way out of a choke-hold. He can get it, just give him a minute.]

[It's been a while since the frying pan was out. This is a brand new one.]

Stay out of this, Hungary - gotta teach my little bro here what happens when he tries to challenge me! Besides, those flowers were ugly, anyway.

Not after that.
Head, meet pan.]

He can't look up, but he knows that sound. DAMMIT HUNGARY, THIS WAS MANO Y MANO] O-OY!!

[And he's just going to slump against Germany's shoulder here, momentarily dazed...look at the pretty birdies....]

It's not all anger...

It must have been serious, whatever it was, and anger or not. I've known you all your lives, so you'll forgive me when I worry. [She bends down to retrieve her pan.]

[He finally lets go of Germany and gets to his feet, shaking his head slightly to clear it. When he glances back up, there's something tired in his eyes.]
Sometimes I forget how young you are. You don't get it, do you? What 'respect' means to beings like us. It means seeing everyone else as not just a potential ally, but a potential threat. As territory and as competition. Even if we're brothers, even if we're part of the same empire, that doesn't mean that we won't be pitted against each other someday. That's the price you pay for independence.
If that's what you want, then let's settle this. Hungary, don't you dare interfere. I'm warning you, though, I won't lose. Because -- [he hesitates] -- because I'm not England and you're not America, and I refuse to let us end up that way.
