The Road to Enlightenment...

Jul 30, 2003 12:14

As I was leaving campus today, spaced out, listening to music, I suddenly came to and noticed there was a blue dump truck in front of me. This was no ordinary dump truck. No. This was dump truck #426...my birthday. So perhaps because I'm superstitious and maybe my OCD tendencies kicked in as well I decided I would follow this dump truck. Maybe it would lead me to enlightenment...

So I follow the 426 dump truck around campus a little while, out onto the main street and then back onto campus. Just as I'm starting to wonder why the hell I'm following a dump truck around, it turns into an area that says "Construction Trucks Only." I could no longer follow.

As I gaze over to see where my destiny dump truck has turned, I notice it's the law school. Does that mean I should go there? Is law my true calling? Would I make a good lawyer?

Um, I think the answer is no. Although I don't know for sure, law could be my destiny and I may be headed in the wrong direction. Was the destiny dump truck right?

My guess...I shouldn't have been following a dump truck around hoping for the answers to life's unanswered questions. Dump trucks do not hold the answers to our future. I need to live my life one day at a time and I will find the answers.

Oh, and I need to stop following dump trucks...
