There's a thin line between elegant quote and pabulum. My preciousss Ulysse Nardin misses this line quite oftenly; it's also the Corum's sin, but let's keep to the subject.
Spasskaya tower, for example. Well done, UN! But a bit overperformed, what a pity. Heavily overperformed. Should be much less complicated - and could become a subtle parody, but this turned to grotesque. Date, small second, power reserve... a tourbillon should have also been added as a final touch.
