I wish Christmas wasn't over. :(
I really enjoyed these past two days. Saturday night my dad's side of the family came to our house for dinner and gift exchanging. We had such a good time! However, no one noticed our kitchen was redecorated, but hey, we still think our hard work payed off. Today, we woke up, got ready, and my sister and her hubby came over. We opened our gifts, which is always much fun. Believe it or not, my FAVORITE part of the gift exchanging is giving out the gifts I buy! Especially this year, because I bought all my Christmas gifts before THANKSGIVING, and I hate holding on to gifts that long! It's torture! I got some really nice stuff, and I'm really grateful:) Only bad thing was that the printer I got to go in my room didn't include the USB cable needed to connect it to my computer, so, I didn't get to set it up today. Sucks. That's worse that realizing you need batteries on Christmas day. Gah. After all that fun, we went to my Papaw's house to meet up with my mom's side of the family for lunch and gift exchanging. My Papaw always gets lots of presents :) I really hope he's around to have many more Christmas's with. Well...I hope everyone's Christmas was eventful.
Tonight me, my sister, and the hubby went to Huntsville to see The Chronicles of Narnia. Bethany's family always goes to see a movie on Christmas day, and as much as I love going to the movies, I decided we should start that tradition. So we went to the Regal on South Memorial because they've never been there. It WOULD have been a great experience if it weren't for the fact that the room was packed and right behind us sat a large group of people with one older bearded guy and a 3 year old that called him "daddy" even though I swear he's too old to be her daddy. Anyways....he allowed this child to run ALL around the theater, screaming and hollering and talking THE ENTIRE TIME. I'd never seen this happen before. This man literally never tried to stop the kid. When the movie got loud, the kid got louder and screamed at the movie. When it got quiet, she was still talking loudly and her dad talked back to her. I think I heard someone from their group tell the kid to be quiet maybe once...but it never worked. I couldn't believe it. Luckily, the movie was really awesome which made it easier to ignore the kid. Oh yeah, and the guy behind me coughed and it blew my hair. I wanted to ralph. Good movie, bad movie-going experience. :)
I keep forgetting I have to work tomorrow....I haven't worked in forever.....not this past Monday but the last I think. I was supposed to work this past Wednesday but I had Patrick's funeral. Then I was told I wasn't needed this weekend....sooo....I work tomorrow...then I'm off again until the next wednesday. Yeah. The day after my 20th birthday. The day I wanted to go to Birmingham with my friends. Life doesn't always give us what we want. Sucks sometimes. But I'm dealin. :)
I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their holiday vacation...I plan to do lots of sitting around and watchign my Oprah's 20th Anniversary DVD collection. Don't crack...you know you secretly wanna watch it with me. Hahaha!
