parables of an uncle

Note: paraphrasing is necessary due to the ineptness of my memory.

"Every day a boy sat under the shade of a tree, leaning against it, relaxing. A certain group of guys saw this boy every day, sitting under the same tree, relaxing. Finally, one of the guys walked up to the boy and asked him what he did. He said nothing. He asked why the boy didn't work. The boy then asked him, "why do you do these things?" "For comfort." "Why comfort?" "For peace of mind." "And that for?" "A peaceful death." "Ah," the boy said, "but I'll get that just the same, sitting right here."

"So there is the story of the ant who struggles hard all day, carrying ten times his weight, bringing it back to the hill, day after day, in servitude... and then, one fine day, he gets stepped on."

"The early bird gets the worm.. but what does the early worm get?"
