So for some reason, which I really can't explain, I have really been into J-Music lately.
It must have started when I came to like High and Mighty Color when I Bleach used "Ichirin no Hana" for their opening song. Since then, I have listened to and enjoyed many a Bleach song but my curiosity grew and I turned to youtube for more. Lately it's been Dragon Ash, Bump of Chicken (no, that's not a typo) and Glay.
One thing I learned early on was to enjoy it as I heard it and not to over-think things. Searching for a song translation could very quickly ruin the entire song. It may have been a bad translation but some of the lyrics are really corny!
Another thing I've learned, J-music can be damn expensive! What is up with that? Still, I'll pay because I agree that if you like the music you should pay for it. I've been to yesasia and cdjapan but WTF! $10+ for singles! $35+ for a regular album and $45+ for a album with dvd! No thank you. Play-asia is decent. Not cheap by any stretch of the imagination but a lot more reasonable. Also, if you buy the Hong Kong version of the exact same CD, for some reason it's about $10 cheaper.
So that was my rant for today. I discovered a good thing and I thought I would share it.
