RL with Vanessa - Impromptu Lessons on Computer Manipulation

To say that Mireille did not have company often would have been a massive understatement. Before Kirika had moved in, the last person to come into her small home had been her uncle, and that had been nearly four years ago. She rather liked the fact that she had a place that was just hers. She'd found it necessary to share that space with her new partner, but at times she still found it to be more of an intrusion than she was comfortable with.

And yet here she was, absently straightening up while she waited for some woman from another world to drop in. The umbrella bin by the door was empty, the red umbrella having been borrowed by Kirika when the younger woman had gone off for a walk and a bit of shopping. Hopefully she wouldn't be back for a while...Mireille wasn't really prepared to try and explain other worlds, not yet. Not when she herself didn't even think she understood them yet.

Finally she just decided the place was as neat as it was going to be, and after a quick check in the mirror to make sure her skirt and shirt were presentable, she plopped down in her desk chair and put her feet up on the edge of the pool table, legs crossed at her ankles. It was raining outside, the noise drumming softly on the half-opened window, and she let her mind wander as she waited.
