For some reason I'm incredibly tired, that whole routine of getting my morning coffee has disappeared. So after school I took a 4 hour nap and had a terrible nightmare. I wanted to go see my cousins so I decided to drive into the bad part of town, apparently it was a new city I have never seen before, but I've remembered walking in it during the day, trying to figure out which path would lead me onto the main highway where I would be able to find home. I've had various dreams about this city, but I've never dreamt about it during the nighttime, which made it very unpleasant. Most of you probably don't know, but most of my dreams consist of traveling, and walking, and trying to find some sort of "home," but from waking up from some of them, I haven't felt the need to describe them because nothing really happens. I just get lost or I wake up before I reach home. Anyway, I drive myself during the day and park my car on the street where my cousins used to live (apparently I've never seen this house before except in other dreams and recognized it as my cousins' house) and my cousin Danielle and Miguel meet me outside. I don't really remember much here, but I know I somehow made these three men really upset, I accidently ran into them as I was looking for my cousins. And so they tried to kill me, blah blah something happened, and my cousins helped me out and saved me. It quickly turns dark and Danielle grabs me by the hand and we start to run. We're trying to find our way back to my car, but the route is blocked and the street is filled with criminals. Danielle, being the oldest, decides to push her way into a building, but everyone tries to beat her to a bloody pulp so she's shoved back outside. We take hands again and decide to run down an alleyway. There's nothing but darkness and you can't see, but you can hear the people beside you and you can feel them breathing on your neck. I figured if we ran as fast as we could, we'd be able to make it to the top. For some reason I felt very insecure and had to pull and keep my dress down and as we were running someone grabbed at me, but fortunately we ran too quick for them to keep up. Miguel, being a man, obviously didn't have as much as a problem, so he kind of just tried to keep up the whole time. Then for some reason we ended up in a very dark building and ran down the halls, where the walls and floors were concrete and the ceiling was leaking. And we found a bathroom that was pitch black. Danielle and I eventually lost Miguel and we saw a figure near one of the stalls in the bathroom and the person entered the stall so we bolted for the other side of the room. That person heard us and we both hid inside the stall near the end of the row and kept very quiet. And then I woke up.
Anyway, back to my real life. Yesterday was an interesting day. Well some of you might know that I've made a deal with my old best friend Kelsey to try and see eachother once a year? Maybe more? It's not really one of those deals that you actually say to one another, but it's kind of one of those things where know eachother so well and you need to catch up and remember old times. I think we've tried to make several occasions where we could see eachother, but most of them fail. I think sometimes we think we'll become closer, but it's kind of hard to do when we've both changed way too much. We were best friends from 2nd grade to my Freshman year of high school, when she decided to go to East High for their drama program. We had the opportunity to talk about our plans after high school. She wants to try and get into NYU and is auditioning two monologues and singing a song. She also told me crazy stories about her boyfriend stealing shoes and Jacob visiting during Christmas break and the story about her raiding her ex-boyfriend's room. Kelsey has also acquired a new vocabulary, it's very interesting to say the least. East does that to you. I'm glad to see that she's still very preppy and hasn't really changed her appearance and been all ghetto-ified. But she called me and we went out to eat and afterwards she took me back to her house and we looked at pictures on her computer. She also showed me pictures of being nominated for homecoming queen, but unfortunately she didn't win. Oh and this is the shit -> www.xanga.com/kelsobean The very first picture is awesome. I have been looking for that picture for ages, I thought I had it on my computer, but she found it on a disc the other day. But anyway, glad I got to see her again and listen to all her stories. Listen to Paloalto, I love this band. It's really rare, but The Mayor and the Seizure Pills is the best.
