Minor Freak Out
I have cararacts in my left eye. I'm sure by next week I'll have forgotten and then in 40 years they'll finally develop and I'll be like "wtf, cataracts?" but for now I'm minorly freaking out about it. It kind of brings to mind the fragility of health, especially with me growing older and all. Cataracts obviously do not equal something like HIV or cancer, but it just makes me conscious that as I grow older my body is going to give out.
Talk about DEPRESSING. I'm being all gloomy!Zuko.
Anyway, I went through the 9-hr classes yesterday and instead of immediately knowing which class to drop, I'm now convinced I should take all 3 of them. But no, I can't. I missed Digital Libraries today in lieu of the eye appointment, so now I don't even know if I want to take it or not.
Other than class crap, this is my life:
+ I'm majorly OTPing Zuko and Katara from Avatar: The Last Airbender. Go die Aang and move aside Mai, because Zutara is where it's at. Reading fanfiction has overwhelmed every aspect of life. I'm not sleeping, not paying attention in class. Yesterday I got angry at a prof for letting us out early since that meant I had to wait to finish the last chapter of a fic. WTF CHAR, what is wrong with you?
+ Spending time with the LOTN. Mostly at HQ (Lizz and Mellissa's apt). Went over last Fri night to watch Glee (first 2) and then to Joel Plaskett concert. Ha, lil sis. Then Sat morning bright and fucking early we met to go shopping. Were supposed to pick out glasses for moi, only instead we went to craft sale (got something for Fal's bday and a book necklace for myself), the titanic graveyard (I'll never let goooo Jack), and finally the mall. I fit into a size 13 skirt. It was wonderful.
+ I've been being superduper lazy. Also wonderful.
+ I've decided this year I'm going to get a man. Even if only for a date. With this in mind, I've been elevating my own vanity with convincing myself that guys are obviously interested just because they talk to me. Must stop this. It is annoying even to me, and I'm sure Lizz is getting sick of "hey, think that guy over there likes me?" She's allowed to smack me over the head next time.
+ Trivia tonight! We went last Wednesday too. Lost. Jaime loudly said "I think I just saw your bitchy roommate" right in front of Jung Hee. Thanks Jaims.
+ Slept in until 12:30 today. Woke up briefly at 9:55 and realized I was expected at Lizz's for swimming in 5 minutes. Obviously did not go. I really wanted to go swimming, but 1. I didn't sleep well last night, 2. 9-hrs seems to have exhausted me, and 3. I wasn't really feeling well this morning. Sick? Dunno, but I'm feeling better now.
