A room with a view:

This weekend I moved into Ryan's room and took over his furniture. The walls are the same color blue as my old room, only a bit chipped. Could use some touchups, but it's not a big deal. Overall, I'm uber happy about the move.

My Room.

Some highlights:
+ Ryan didn't leave until around 5pm on Saturday, and I managed to clean his room, move all my stuff, and clean my old bedroom all by 10pm.
+ I moved around his furniture. Let me tell you, good quality plywood furniture on carpet is heavy shit. I had to remove all the drawers just to budge the dresser.
- + then when I was done Tim offered to help. Exemplary timing as always, Tim.
+ Ryan's bed is harder than what I'm used to. My back has been aching for days, but I think I'm starting to get used to it.
- + It's a double, so sexy time in casa Char. Now I just have to find a sexy time mate.
+ The room is at least twice as large as the old one. I look around and am amazed at 1. the space, and 2. that I survived in the old one.
+ CLOSET!!!
+ SRSLY CLOSET!!!!
+ Ryan left bed sheets, possibly accidentally. His loss is my gain. I washed those suckers up and have them on the bed. They're oddly soft, and this is coming from the girl who will buy egyptian cotton, high thread-count sheets because others are just too rough.
+ Tim and I to Canadian Tire. I bought hangers and a bookcase. Tim carried bookcase for me because I couldn't lift it.
+ I then put bookcase together on my own. We're talking a 5-shelf number that needed a screwdriver and hammer to piece together all the components. What kind of librarian would I be if I couldn't put together a bookcase? I might not be able to lift that sucker, but damn if it isn't a product of my own sweat and blood.
+ The room is really quiet and dark at night. Ryan has awesomely thick curtains that keep out light even in the direct sunlight of the morning. Too bad they're fugly and 2 different colors of brown because otherwise I'd keep them.

In other news, I went to pick up my loan today and pay tuition. Guess who I met in line at the registrar? Tim. I swear, I can't get away from that guy. Yesterday morning I stumbled downstairs for coffee with my bangs sticking up all over the place and sleep smeared across my cheek only to find him cooking breakfast in the kitchen. He laughed at me.

Thanks for infringing on the sanctity of morning coffee, Tim. This morning I had to check a mirror before leaving my room.
