I just discovered last.fm and it very well may have changed my life. Imagine... having a profile of your favorite music. That's not so unbelievable. Now imagine that there are lots of these profiles, each one representing the musical tastes of another person. Again, pretty easy to do. Definitely not true if you have a decent music player (like Amarok). All I did was make an account and start listening to music. After I'd listened to a few songs a new section appeared on my sidebar menu teling me about other similar artists. If I clicked on such an artist it would take me to an information page about them with other similar artists, why they think I'll like that artist and a link to start listening to them. It was all very simple. Try it.

I have, and I don't like it. It think that I should be listening to the White Stripes, but I should not be.
