Journalism Schmournalism

It's 4:04 AM as I sit here on my couch, pillow on my lap to prevent myself from getting burnt by my netbook, trying to finish my damn article.  Class meets in roughly...  forty-three hours, barely enough time for me to run this article through multiple drafts.  But that's half the fun in the class, because I am a devout believer in revision, revision, revision!

I did this fun story for my Fiction Writing class, which I'm somewhat excited to present.  It's an experimental type of writing for me, since I'm not utilizing any plot advancements, just a lot of character development.  You learn so much about the character and his surroundings, but not enough about what's going on--which I'm working on!

As far as school is concerned, I'm looking at this year with a lot of energy.  I want to get straight A's this term...  and transfer the hell out of my current school.  It's unsuited for an English major, and you can tell when you look at the school name: John Jay College of Criminal Justice.

Time to stop procrastinating and start my article.
