Skeet Spirit: A Crunk Tribute to Radiohead
As far as crunk tributes go, the good parts are pretty darn good. "No Sizzuruprise" proves crunk only works in minor keys, so skip that one. And thankfully, the synths carry the melody line so there are no vocals (aside from the obligatory Lil Jon samples.)
But when you take a minor-chord gloomfest like "Street Spirit (Fade Out)" and replace the guitar arpeggios with detuned synth leads and timpani hits, it turns into a genuinely menacing Dirty South anthem.
Pure genius.
