After that, she went downstairs and found a present from Santa. Upon seeing the photo inside, her eyes lit up as best they could and she vanished into the basement

[The raccoon head seems suitably shocked by being chased, if no less than by the mere nature of its present existence. It scampers back to 1664 Nelson and runs through the conveniently placed cat door]

[Cynric comes to a stop at the door and tries to peer in through the cat door. Failing to see anything, he simply knocks.]

[There's silence for a handful of time and then the door opens with Fran peeping out]

Yes~ I'm a biologist primarily~ I've been carrying on the work of Professor Naomitsu Madaraki until he returns from his trip~ Of course, being here will be a hinderance~

[She opens the door and leads Cynric down to the basement where a metal door is now hidden behind all the general 1950s junk. She punches something into a keypad and the doors open, revealing a more modern lab with some decent equipment for your average mad biologist]

[WOW. He didn't think you'd agree! He trots after Fran, and his eyesgo wide at all the stuff inside.]

Amazing! Like in one of those films...

[He zips all over the place, looking at everything.]

[Fran places the tiny chimera in a proper holding pen and then turns back to Cynric]
