I did the friends cut a day early since no one has commented on it since Sunday anyways.

You were removed if you haven't updated since 2009 or have updated since the first notice about the cut was posted but didn't comment on the entry about it. I think those restrictions are fair. I'm pretty sure some of these are just old journals. There were some exceptions, such as people I've had as friends for years who aren't consistently active anymore.
