When the game was officially over, I ran outside into the parking lot, into the inch-deep snow in just my socks.
There are fireworks going off in the sky and all you hear are people screaming and celebrating.
N came out and watched with me. We stared up into the sky and laughed and it felt crazy and wonderful and great.
Then my feet went numb and we trundled back in to watch the MVP awards. Part of me wants to go out and part of me agrees with N: "Right. Cause there won't be any drunk drivers on the road tonight."
Jerome Bettis - the Bus - is retiring and I'm not surprised, you can't be surprised, because he was supposed to retire last year and only came back so he could have a shot at finally winning the big one, but it's still the end of an era and yeah, I'm a bit sniffly. The bus made its last stop. Thanks for the ride, Jerome.
Pittsburgh, baby. Pittsburgh.
