I've been working for the Daily Tar Heel for two weeks now, and - prepare yourself for self-adulation - I have had a picture either on the front page or within the first three pages every day but one that I have worked. I've been documenting a variety of things from my life in addition to assignments, like an evening at a Valentine's day party (complete with heart-shaped fondue pots), weekends at home and afternoons at the ArtsCenter, where I also work as a photographer. I've heard some murmurings of interest to see that I'm not a lying liar and that I do actually take decent photos, so, have at you.
My friend Lauren, sassing me.
Decorations at the party.
My mother and one of our seven cats.
One of the kids from The ArtsCenter after school
The rest are photos I have taken for the Daily Tar Heel, UNC's campus newspaper which - you guessed it - is published daily, and is the top college newspaper in the U.S. ::puts away her own horn, which she just tooted::
These photos are from a senior citizen's Valentine's Day revue last night. It was much more entertaining than one would expect.
(this one was actually in the paper)
This is a medical student assisting in one of the labs in our pharmacy school. He was probably injecting Scarlet Fever into the tube, for all I know... this was the first photo I had published in the paper.
These are taken on Franklin Street following our victory over Duke University in basketball last week.
She is excited. She has fillings.
Lots of chanting, fires, and nudity. Very civilized mob.
And then the firemen came and put out the flaming piles of hats, Duke books, and toilet paper rolls.
