There wasn't much one could do on a frosty winter day--not unless they wanted to weather the cold and the snow--other than stay inside and sip something warm. Which the Doctor was doing exactly, kicking back in the kitchen of the house with a mug of hot chocolate (and little marshmallows he'd found in the cupboard). It felt quaint, a warm house and a warm drink and snow outside and getting to be an Earth holiday season. It also went to prove just how long they'd been at this. It seemed a better idea than sitting around his TARDIS, anyway.
