And Ten was there, too. Of course. Still. Happy. Awkward, intensely so, but happy nevertheless.

There was supposed to be some kind of party, apparently some kind of wedding tradition--he wasn't sure he understood it, because if they wanted a party, then why such a small wedding?--but for said party, it was awfully small. Not that he minded, of course.

To make sure no one objected, of course. That, and the Doctor hated people staring at him.

He picked up a glass of wine and limped over to his other self, offering it to him.

"Rassilon's Red. You wouldn't believe the number of vintage centuries I found hidden in the Rani's cellar."

He declined it. "Well, that's just like her, hiding things and all."

"Weaeaeaell, when Catherine gave me the TARDIS, she only had a few pieces of her memory left at any rate. Probably didn't even realize she had a wine cellar."

He smiled, and took a sip of the wine he offered him. "It's good. A bit dry."

"And you happened to stumble on it?"

"Yes, while I was searching through her things."

He grinned.

"Which haven't been her things for a while, so it's really your things."

"Yes, but it makes me sound like a bastard if I'm looking through them, and I have a reputation to keep up, married or not."

He tilted his head. "But why would anyone care, if they're not her things anymore? It's not like anyone thinks of this as the Rani's TARDIS anymore."

The Doctor snorted.

"Now you're just being difficult."

"Am I? I'm just saying that there's no point in saying it's her things when they're not her things."

The Doctor shot him a look.

"You are. This wine is my wine, and I was just offering you a glass and attempting to make it enticing by making it stolen from the Rani. You don't want it, that's fine."

"If I wanted it, I would've taken it, but I didn't, meaning I don't want it. Why would making it sound like you stole it make me want it any more than I already don't?"

The Doctor raised up his hands in defeat.

"Right, okay. Sorry. Didn't steal the wine, it's mine. Never mind."

"Yeah. Nevermind."

He looked around the room. "So. Some party, hm? I guess word didn't get out about it."

"Well, that's how I like it. Last time we had a party here there were too many people. Drove me batty."

He took a few sips of his wine, wary of drinking any more too quickly because of his lowered constitution.

"This is how I like a party. A few friends, some good wine. S'all that matters."
