Smash and Grab
I've been parking my car in the driveway, because our garage is occupied by the old 72-inch Mitsubishi TV that hasn't gone to a new home yet. (Want a used big screen TV? Well, contact

Anyway ... I went to leave for work this morning, and discovered that my car window had been broken, and my work laptop stolen!
Here's the funny: Last night, I ran out late to get some grub, and when I came back I neglected to lock the car door (my hands were full of Thai food, ya know.). Dumb Thief didn't even try the door, just broke the driver-side rear window, reached in, and grabbed the computer.
Even funnier -- the old, abused laptop that he/she stole (which belonged to my employer) wasn't the prize! I had a nice SLR camera and an XBOX "Guitar hero" controller (still in box!) in the very visible trunk area. I also had about $100 in cash and a cell phone in the front seat compartment, which wasn't touched.
All things considered, it could have been worse. "Ce La Vie!"
