I had to wake up at 7:19 a.m. today to take my car to Nixa, where some dude looked at it, and then charged me 30 dollars. He didn't do anything, except give me an almost $400 estimate for a new starter and battery. He could of installed them both today, but he said he had to get the part from the warehouse, and that it would be "mid-morning" by the time he could start. Well you know what, asshole? I got plans for "mid-morning" today. Also, I brought my iPod but not my headphones, and this November 2006 issue of Popular Science can only hold my interest for so long... so maybe I'll see you next week. He seemed a little weirded out, and when he called back to the shop he said "... uh, Dave... bring up the Suzuki, we're gonna be releasing it." Like my car was a difficult patient who was going against doctor's orders or some shit. Fuck that. Maybe my car won't start tomorrow, whateverrr. I'm a gambler.
The plus side to all of this is that I went to bed really early last night, and woke up after a solid 8 hours of sleep. I'm fully energized and refreshed. Usually I oversleep, and when I wake up I feel all groggy and gnarly. I also drank some coffee... just because it was morning. So now in addition to being fully energized and refreshed, I'm also kind of buzzing from the caffiene. Watch out, world. That's probably why I'm updating my journal. Not to tell you guys that... just, you know, because I can't sit still. Fuck that.
The outline for the weekend looks really fucking good. I'm really stoked. I hope everything works out the way it's planned. Here it is-
Friday: 9 p.m. - hopefully not too late (see Saturday for explanation) GBBR + shitty bands @ DTRemington's. After that, assuming I'm not stumbling ass drunk from too many VTzzz (unlikely) or someone can get me there (also kind of unlikely), Black Box @ Mixology.
Saturday: 7 a.m. - ??? Six fucking Flags w/ Shana, Jesse, and Brandon. Fantastic. I've been wanting to go to Six Flags since... well, immediately after the last time I went to Six Flags. Something always comes up, though! ...and I guess I shouldn't jinx myself, considering there's a solid 21 hours until lift off... but I feel really good about it. Bring the noise. I'm going to ride rollercoasters and water rides and eat stupidly and take pictures with Looney Tune characters and people watch and fuckkkkkk I'm pumped.
Sunday: 6 p.m. - depending on potential post-game activities Springfield Cardinals game! It's a Sunday game which means afterwards all those little shitheads get to run the bases, and it's probably going to be really cute again. I want to eat nachos and drink beer and sit in the grass like always. Eric said he would go. So here's to hoping. If you want to go gooooo. Afterwards there is talk of Pizza & a Pitcher at BrewCo. SHANA.
So yeah, what's up solid weekend. I hope it turns out to be half as good as I'm expecting!!!
Another thing that I hope turns out to be half as good as I'm expecting- Jesse Lacey in STL!!!!! I seriously cannot wait for this show. I haven't been this pumped for a show in a long time.
I need to schedule for classes. A fact that my mom reminds me of daily. I think the first day she doesn't mention it will be the day I do it.
I have to go to work. There's more that I want to touch on, but I'm running out of time. So maybe you'll see some edits later. But don't get your hopes up. Besides, I won't be this jittery and fast-typing when I get back here, so they'll probably be really stupid.
p.s. Ty, we need to play tennis again. Also, you need to come run this FitCircuit course by the house with me. It's a good workout.
p.p.s. HOLLA!
