"If you could create/select a new subject that had to be taught in high school, what would it be, and why?"
If it were possible I would teach Understanding as a class, but it would seem that teenagers lack the intelligence to realize the importance of such a class. Today in school I was asked someone to write a short story about bulling which they would hand out to all the junior high schools they visit. I jumped at the chance to have my writing make such a large circle, but I can't help but feel disgusted about why I was made the offer. If I hadn't been bullied so bad in school that I missed 280 days of grade seven, only did two weeks of grade eight, and dropped out for good in grade nine, they never would have asked me to write the story. I would teach Understanding if I could, but sadly I think it would end up just like Math. People would rather avoid it.
