I am probably one of few people on this earth that finds the Lion King movie soundtrack inordinately depressing. people were playing it in the kitchen this morning, and I'm trying to lift my spirits with Bob Dylan.
i reorganized my bookshelf this morning because there's once again no room left on it, and i"m just going to have to send some books home with my mom when I see her tonight.
i started Nick Hornby's new book (another collection of his columns from the Believer) last night after getting home from work/Marya's, and I'm really enjoying it so far. Plus, he makes several references to Sarah Vowell. Nick Hornby talking about Sarah Vowell is just about too awesome for words.
his column, called "Stuff I've Been Reading", always starts with a list of the books he's bought that month, and a list of the one's he's read. I think i"m going to try keeping a similar list. just to see. school books excluded, of course.

I do not believe communication is in and of itself a virtue. Sometimes it seems like the vestiges of the sixties are all the bad stuff about the sixties. Often I am not interested in how people think I can improve.. Mostly I don't believe that these things would be improvements. Perhaps this is arrogance. I don't know if I care.
