Looking at your previous post and explanation of the project, I'm not really sure how well the topic about Xena and 7-of-9 would go... I'm not sure how it would relate. If there was a statistic relating the release of a new teeny-bopper series like 90210 or something like that to grades, that maybe would work... Maybe a grade fluctuation relating males in the school and football season? I'm pulling stuff out of my ear now.
If you did go for suicide like it seems your teacher may lean towards (this can be a bad thing if you don't meet their expectations in a paper) you can look at the class-differences like the first poster said. You can look at ratios of Male Vs Female, attempted, succeeded, maybe see about "popular" methods in a college and see if one is significantly higher than others...
Another "diversity" would be schooling level. Are high schoolers more prone? College students?
And of course the "race diversity" thing.
Ooo, ooo, or you could look at crime rates on a college campus level. I'm just sayin' that 'cause of the murder we had a couple years ago o_O;
