Dear Yuletide Writer Letter
(Note: this entry will remain at the top of my LJ until Dec 25th)
Dear Yuletide Writer,
First I want to thank you in advance for writing a fic for me this year. I will honestly appreciate whatever you write. You should know that I love all four of these fandoms, so write for the one that makes you most comfortable and the one you'll get most enjoyment out of writing.
Pairing or Gen fic is fine, I like both. And any rating is fine; it's up to you if you want to write a G-rated friendship fic or a NC-17 PWP (or something in between). If you do want to write a sex scene, it really doesn't matter to me who is the seme and who is the uke (I know it's important to some fans but not me).
In case you only recognize one fandom and start panicking I'll be providing links to where you can gain information on the others. I want to make your writing period as easy as possible and this will hopefully give you more options in case you get stuck. (Legal Drug and Dolls are both pretty short canons if you're extremely pressed for time; both Pandora Hearts and Nabari no Ou are longer series but both are under 100 chapters)
Things I Like:
Characters being in-character. That's the most important thing. I read fanfics for the characters that I love so as long as everyone is IC I'm going to like the fic (yes, even if it's BDSM Tentacle porn :p )
Things I Don't Like:
Death Fics. At least not for Yuletide (it's a tough time of the year for me). Angst is fine (even if it's a lot of angst), but please let the fic have a happy ending.
Rape Means Love Fics. Rape treated seriously is fine. But I hate it when the top/seme is treated as a misunderstood character who just-couldn't-help-it and "had" to rape the bottom/uke to be able to express his feelings.
Shota. This won't be an issue with most of fandoms I've selected, but I'm putting it down just in case. Please make sure that the characters are at least teenagers.
The Requests
Pandora Hearts - Gilbert Nightray aka Raven/Xerxes Break aka Kevin Regnald - Break helps Gil sort out some of his angst issues either while Oz is in the Abyss or afterwards.
I do like the pairing but I know it's not a popular pair so I'm okay if you only want to a friendship fic. If you do go the pairing route and you want to write during the period when Oz is away, please make Gil at least a teenager (although I would prefer adult).
What I like most about these two is their interaction with each other. I like how Break knows when to tease someone and when to be serious. He always seems to know what Gil needs to hear.
I am up-to-date with the manga so you don't have to worry about spoilers. I've never watched the anime version though, so I'm not sure how much has changed in it.

Nabari no Ou - Gau Meguro/Raikou Shimizu - Gau worries over and nurses Raikou who is injured on a mission.
I adore these two together but if you want to keep the fic more platonic, that's okay too. I really just want Gau worrying about/taking care of Raikou. In canon, it's usually Raikou protecting Gau so I'd like to see strength from Gau as he supports Raikou in the best way that he can.
I'm up-to-date with the manga so you don't have to worry about spoilers. But I've never watched the anime version so I'm not sure if there was a lot of changes.

Gouhou/Legal Drug - Kakei/Saiga - A fic that shows how the two meet or how they started the drug store. Or perhaps how they met Rikuou.
Since there's nothing canon to go by, you can pretty much do what you want. Seriously, anything; they could be teenagers in high school or young adults. Since Kakei can see the future, you can bring that in if you want.
I can't really explain why I like the couple. They just go together so well.
I've read all of this manga.

Dolls (manga) - Hasui Tamao/Mikoshiba Shouta - I'd like to see these two have the day off together where they go on a casual date, like to the movies or something.
It could be something like going to see a movie together, eating out or even something simple like they have to shop for something for their apartment. I just want them to spend the day together. Maybe Shouta could be depressed about something work related and Tama uses the date to cheer him up.
I'm up-to-date with the manga scanlations and most of the raw chapters. You do not have to worry about spoilers.
