Okay, I'll admit I'm not a big fan of traditional shoujo stories where it takes 20+ volumes for the two main characters to fall in love. I get fed up and start wanting to hit those two characters with a clue bat so that they'd realize that yes, they are in love and no, the world is not going to fall apart because they're in love

Have not read it yet for some odd reason, and i am quite the sucker for shojo. Well, not that much the last years but still. Have heard about it though.

2. As much as the clue bat is needed, I surprisingly don't mind much. A lot of it is that she's 16, he's in his early twenties, and she hero worships him. Ren is very aware of the NO BAD NO of a relationship with what's technically his underaged subordinate/protegee, and he also knows he's in a position where any displayed interest on his part could be construed as pressure. And Kyoko is so caught up in her hero worship that she doesn't really realize that it may be a front for other feelings.
