Dee here is one of the Endless, who are sort of like personifications of powerful forces at work in The Sandman. She's omniscient in her canon, and while she's no longer a special snowflake in Route, she still retains her memories of whatever she already knew before in her canon.
Her canon is said to encompass all sorts of universes out there. Unlike traditional representations of death, Dee visits each person not only when they die, but also when they are born. Therefore, she is said to know each and every one of you intimately, making her your oldest friend that you've never known existed. Your character might generally get a sense of deja vu from seeing her/meeting her/speaking with her. Some characters can even recognize her. And under normal circumstances, she'd know absolutely everything about your character -- but this has been toned down to fit with Route canon. Her omniscience kind of went through a compressor the moment she came to Route, which means that she'll only know as much or as little as you'll let her know.
Which means it would be very helpful if you could fill out this permission meme, so that I'll know where Death stands in accordance to your character. o/ Feel free to write as much or as little as necessary -- or link me to resources about your character if everything's fair game.
Your character can recognize Death on the spot for who and what she is if they fit one or more of these criteria:
▶ your character has died before in canon
▶ your character has had some sort of a personal experience with reincarnation
▶ your character has killed someone before in canon
▶ your character has had someone important to them pass away due to whatever circumstances
▶ your character has been 'killed' in Route
▶ your character has 'killed' someone else in Route
▶ your character is some sort of a deity or omniscient figure in their canon
