Just drove home in very nasty weather. None of the roads were plowed, not even the state highway. I didn't go over 35 mph the whole way and most of the drive I was under 30. Yeesh.
Oh, does that sound like a repeat?! It's for a good reason. IT HAPPENED AGAIN TONIGHT.
Actually we got a HUGE AMOUNT of snow today. At least 8 inches of snow covered my car at midnight. Maybe 10? 12? The parking lot was not plowed and a SEMI truck got stuck there, spinning its wheels. I, with the help of some male coworkers DID get dug out and sent on my way. THANK YOU THANK YOU! The roads were again nasty nasty nasty - mostly unplowed until I hit the village limits of my OWN town. lol Apparently the village DPW was out scraping the roadways! The county was apparently NOT, at least not in my neck of the woods.
So.... yeah. Maybe I should have called in. But we've had so many winter storm warnings lately that turned out to be 2 inches of piddly snow. I would have felt wimpy calling in. Plus I'd mess up my perfect attendance record, lose my merit pay AND the day's pay as well.
That's that and hopefully the winter storm is OVER. Tomorrow I'll try to get some photos of the snow. Very picturesque. If you are inside your own home looking at it, that is.
I got some groceries today and I have a killer stress neckache right now. I took a hot shower and that felt SOOOOO good. Now I need something to EAT. STARVING! Then to bed.
