OOC POST: Saika Glossary
The demonic katana Anri secretly wields from most (for their own safety and peace of mind) has some complicated powers to it. Here's how they work, with the terms associated with them.
Mother
Think of the katana as a Queen Bee and main source of power. The sword has a feminine personification to it, and it loves all of humanity. She's a love crazed sword, as strange and creepy as that sounds. Saika loves humanity so much it's an insatiable and obsessive love. She loves people so much she wants to copulate. Yep, that's right! She can give birth, for almost every human person her cuts into would become her child.
Child/Children
When Saika cuts you, you become her Child. Saika's Children are all connected to her--and this is where the Queen Bee thing comes into place. Saika, essentially, controls her Children. The best way to put it is you become a part of Saika when Saika cuts you. There's really no other way to say it; you become posessed, more or less, by a part of Saika.
When someone is under possession, he or she doesn't even know they're being controlled. Their eyes glow red, and they may have access to some invincibility. For example, a possessed tabloid writer in Anri's canon wasn't easy to knock out for he got back up after getting hit by a van, then a motorcycle, and then Ikebukuro's strongest man hitting him really hard with the same van's side door.
Once those possessed are released from Saika's control, they don't remember doing the things "Mother" told them to do. Feeling pain and everything else that represents a normal human being would also return. So, that tabloid writer guy must have been really sore afterwards!
Also, in most situations, when you become her Child it's permanent. Sorry. Once Saika loves, she would want you to remember her love for you, for as long as you remain alive.
Cut
When I say cut, I mean it literally. Saika needs to cut you for you to become a Child of her's. It only requires just one cut for her to do this. Cutting her way into the flesh of anyone, male and/or female, would be her way of having sex--but let's not think deeply into that!
Anri and Saika
Anri has Saika, the Mother of All so anyone she cuts, on purpose or by accident, she controls that person. Anyone who is capable to consciously/willing love another and have the initial fear of being slashed at by this katana's blade.
Also, when a Child of Saika cuts into someone by their sharp object of choice, that is one other way most become Saika's Child.
When being controlled by Saika/Anri...
When you are controlled, you are generally unaware of it. That isn't to say that you aren't always controlled by Anri, because you are. It's just not an obvious thing, and you're generally not going to know who Anri is unless she explicitly talks to you about it.
When Saika takes over, you do not recall what happens and you don't know you go into a trance, essentially. You simply wake up after Anri releases her hold on you, and usually, that's after she tells you to go home, so basically, as soon as you finish your orders. Please keep in mind Anri will always tell you to go back home or something like that. Anri isn't going to let you, usually, wake up in a confused state--she's too nice for that. When under her control, she'll be as nice as she can ever be about that.
But there will times where she just lets go of the control link. There will also be times she issues a command that will be in effect even after the control link is dropped. For example, "protect this person" is a command that will always be in effect. When it's triggered (i.e.: the person is in danger), the Child will go into Saika mode. From the moment it's triggered, to the moment it's relinquished, he or she will not recall anything after commands are fully carried out.
Anri would, at the most, rely on others she has control of either for information or for cover in a very dangerous situation. Nothing else.

Anri usually won't cut someone ever, or even have any intentions to. Maaaybe if for some reason any friends of hers have been in danger because of your villain character's been in pursuit of them, then she'd want to cut him or her to have them stop and behave. I can't imagine any other reason why.
