Things are moseying along. I've exceeded my monthly Internet limit, and I think 1 MB is a dollar, so I currently owe them an extra fifteen dollars and I've only used the net today for ten minutes. Looks like I'll have to use Dad's internet until the 6th when it gets reset. I had work yesterday, it wasn't too bad, except I accidentally broke a couple glasses when I was rearranging a display so that made me feel a bit retarded. On the plus side, the display looks nice!
Went home and got ready to go out. I left home around 6.30 and got to Loz's by 7. Laura sent us a message saying she couldn't make it because her doctor told her that for the next few days she needed to stay indoors and keep warm. Which kind of sucks, I haven't done a town trip with her in almost a year and I was looking forward to it. The group ended up being me, John, Loz, Anna, Haroola, Anthony, Suzi and Alicia.
We walked to the local bar, the Avoca, for some drinks before town. I'd already consumed a nasty bottle of Passion Pop before we left, so I was feeling good, and after a few vodka on the rocks I was quite merry. We had a really good time, and the talk turned to food and all I could think about was a double cheeseburger from McDonalds!
We left the Avoca around 11.30 ish to try and catch a taxi into town to go to HQ. Suzi, Alicia and Haroola took one taxi, Anthony grabbed another with a couple I hadn't met, and John, Loz and I walked Anna back to her car (she wasn't coming out) before getting a taxi of our own. The line to get into HQ was massive. I've never seen it that long. Luckily Anthony was already in line fairly close to the front, but after waiting twenty minutes my buzz disappeared and I started feeling tired and hungry.
Luckily John was feeling the same, so we both decided to leave and quickly got Maccas before jumping into a taxi. We got back to Loz's around 1 am, and he drove home and so did I. We were both feeling pretty sober by that stage so there wasn't a lot of danger. Although John only had to drive five minutes, whereas my trip was half an hour, gah! At least there wasn't any traffic at that time in the morning; traffic easily makes the journey forty-five minutes long. Stupid South Road. Anyway, apart from the HQ fiasco the rest of the night was good. Hopefully next time we go to town we'll plan it a bit better and aim to get there earlier and miss the line!
