So I'm back home now. The two weeks has gone by so fast, I can hardly believe it. It was good though; Shannon and I had a lot of fun, we have more in common now so that helped. We played heaps of Guitar Hero a couple nights ago, it was entertaining! I had a few chats with Nanny about life, the universe and everything, they're always nice. It's sad saying goodbye to family. Nanny was the hardest, but with any luck I'm going back in June when Shannon has a four week break from school. We shall see.
The flight was not that great, though. Or flights, I should say. My plane left Darwin at 1.30 am, arrived in Brisbane at 6 am, then left at 6.30 to arrive in Adelaide at 9.30 am. I was buggered. I read for a lot of the first flight, and tried to get some sleep but it's considerably difficult when you're sitting bolt upright with no pillow. Then on the second flight I started feeling ill, but managed to get to sleep and before I knew it I was home.
I had a nap in the arvo, then Karah and I went to Elizabeth to do a bit of shopping, and she came back to mine to watch a couple episodes of Green Wing. So now I'm in my room, with the fabulous laptop, watching Black Books and thinking that if I had an ensuite, I would never ever have to leave this area again. Which would be awesome :)
I'm not going to unpack, as Nanny washed the majority of my clothes before I left, so they're ready for Perth, but I need to take out a few books and DVDs, my bag was bloody heavy! I won't need quite so much gear for the next trip. Tomorrow I'm going into work to see what shifts I'm doing, and Karah and I are going out either tomorrow night or Saturday night to town, fun fun fun!
Got an email from John, he went skydiving. Skydiving in Hawaii! How lucky can you get? He's enjoying himself immensely, but apparently he's thinking of coming home for a short time before heading off to Fiji, he's a bit homesick. Things will become clearer soon. And on a different note, I was shocked to hear about Heath Ledger's death, as everyone was. It's so sad when things like this happen out of the blue, he was only 28. C'est la vie.
