A place where we belong

Happy New Year and all that.

I worked 10 to 6 today; hell on bloody earth. Not only did I have to do my workload for the day, Rob and Nathan left shitloads of returns from the previous night that I had to take care of. I only sat once the entire day, and that was for a grand total of three minutes. By the time my shift finished I couldn't face going anywhere for New Year's Eve, so I sent messages to Laura, Loz and Jordan saying I wasn't going to make it. Turns out Jordan got called into work and Laura was pretty tired herself. Don't think Loz was too happy though.

I've spent the evening looking at random things on Youtube, namely all the cartoons I used to watch when I was a kid, you may remember them - Bump In The Night, Noddy, The Busy World of Richard Scarry, The Trapdoor, Oakie Doke, Johnson and Friends, Gumby, Reboot, etc. It's been a great flashback to a much easier time, and I still remember some of the theme songs, sadly enough!

I was supposed to have tomorrow off. But, I have to go in around 11.45 to do some computer work and hang some posters, then come back and do 2 to 6, on New Year's Day, which will be one of our busiest days. Crap. Then I have 10 to 6 on Wednesday. Not looking forward to it. Technically nine days until I go to Darwin. It can't come soon enough.
