People Involved: Takaki Yuya, Hashimoto Ryosuke Brief Summary: ...Takaki finds out it's Hasshi's birthday and they decide to celebrate it together...[ooc: gah! i suck at writing summaries!!!]
Even though he still had food left on his tray in front of him, Hasshi had abandoned it, momentarily, for his cell phone, after it had chimed with a new message. It was from an old friend back home, wishing him a happy birthday.
Smiling a bit, Hasshi went to type back a reply when Takaki sat down. He looked up at him and smiled, nodding his head in acknowledgment. "Good morning, Takaki-kun!"
"Hn?" Hasshi looked down at his phone and then back up at Takaki, contemplating on what to tell him. No one at Reizei knew it was his birthday, but he didn't want it to seem like he was fishing for birthday wishes or something.
Oh, what does it matter, he thought, shaking his head in slight amusement. "Ah, it was a friend back home, wishing me a happy birthday," he said calmly, finishing the reply and sending it off before returning back to eating his lunch.
Looking up from his food, Hasshi smiled and nodded. "Un, I turn 15 today. Arigatou!"
Hasshi went back to eating his food, only looking up again when Takaki spoke. "Eeh... I don't have anything planned..." he said cautiously, half wondering if Takaki was going to offer to do something. He didn't want to make the older boy feel like he was obligated to... then again, it would be nice to do something on his birthday. And he'd like to get to know Takaki more, he seemed really nice...
Eh, you think ahead too much, he scolded himself, blushing and looking down.
Hasshi's cheeks flared up even more when that was exactly what Takaki offered. His thoughts raced as he tried to settle on what he should do. He didn't want to bother the other... but he didn't want to seem rude by refusing.
"U-uh, if you're not doing anything else..." he mumbled shyly, moving his chopsticks around in his omelette. "I didn't really have anything in mind, though..." Nibbling on some egg, he looked up at the ceiling thoughtfully, going through possible things to do.
Takaki smiled and shook his head. "I don't have anything else in particular to do today...and besides, it'd be a lot more fun spending time with you instead of just staying here and doing something by myself."
"Hmmmm......what could we do?" he thought out loud. "If we stay here there's not really much we could do, unless we get some people together and throw a party for you. Or we could go out somewhere, like the mall, or the movies.....or the amusement park? Or what about an aquarium?"
"... ah..." Hasshi murmured, cursing his face for turning red so easily. "Well, as long as it's not a bother to you..."
"Hm... going out somewhere sounds like fun, I haven't been out of the school lately," Hasshi mused. He thought about Takaki's suggestions. The mall was okay... but he didn't really want to be cooped up in a movie, not so early in the day. He perked up at the last two options- those sounded good! "Uhm... the amusement park sounds like fun! I haven't been to the one here yet..."
"Of course it's not a bother! It's your special day, so we should celebrate it properly, ne?" Takaki grinned.
"Yeah, the amusement park sounds good! I've never been there either!" He looked down at his food. "Hmmm...how about we finish lunch and then go get ready?"
Takaki's words warmed him up, making him smile brightly. "Arigatou, Takaki-kun! I'll have to make it up to you on your birthday... when is it, anyway?"
Hasshi nodded happily, for the first time that day actually feeling happy and excited about his birthday. The day was looking much better now that he had someone to spend it with. "Un! That's fine with me!"
Takaki made a face. "Actually.....this year my birthday already passed. It was on March 26th~" Then suddenly he grinned. "It's okay, that just means we'll do something together next year then, ne?"
Takaki also nodded, feeling excited. "Saa, let's finish our lunch and then let's go!!"
ooc: ne, go read my post on my journal~ i probably can't get online tomorrow so we'll continue on Thursday, is that ok? ^^;
"Ah, really..." Hasshi frowned, but he supposed he couldn't do anything about it. He nodded. "Un, definitely."
Smiling, Hasshi nodded again before wordlessly going back to his lunch, trying not to rush through it to appear too eager. They had plenty of time, he told himself, it was still early in the day. Even so, he finished his lunch quickly and, excusing himself, went to go put his tray up before returning back to his seat, sipping at his drink while he waited for Takaki to finish.
ooc- I wasn't on most of the day anyway :D;; Of course ^^
ooc- It's okay ^^ I'm just happy to have something to do now XDD
Hasshi nodded at Takaki's suggestion. "Un, that should be enough time to get ready. I'll meet you back here!" he said, smiling a bit before turning around to run off towards his dorm.
It didn't take long for him to get there, or for him to get ready. As he walked back to the cafeteria he tried to calm down his rapidly beating heart, wondering why he was so nervous. He frowned a bit and tried to shrug it off, writing it off as shyness around strangers, and made his way back to where their table had been.
Takaki quickly made his way to his room and grabbed the stuff he needed. He paused for a second by the mirror, out of habit, and wondered if he looked okay.
Wait. Why do I care so much? We're just going to the amusement park for his birthday, it's not like this is a date or anything... Takaki felt a blush creeping onto his face, and he grimaced at himself in the mirror.
We're just friends, we're just friends... he told himself as he ran down the stairs to get back to the cafeteria.
He arrived in the cafeteria just after Hasshi did, and he waved as he called out to him.
Smiling a bit, Hasshi went to type back a reply when Takaki sat down. He looked up at him and smiled, nodding his head in acknowledgment. "Good morning, Takaki-kun!"

"Ne, Hashimoto-kun? Did something good happen?" He nodded at the cellphone in Hasshi's hands.

Takaki thought for a minute as he started to eat his onigiri. "Ne, Hashimoto-kun, what are you planning on doing today? I mean, for your birthday."
