Tomorrow is going to be so cold! This weather report is only relevant because I don't want to freeze BUT I don't want to carry a coat the entire time when I could be dancing and making jazz hands at...

wait for it..

The MCR concert! Tonight!!

In other news, I've been so lazy about finding good books to read on my own. Usually, I would just browse the local bookstore (sad yet funny that B&N and Borders have become local bookstores but anyway) and pick out whatever looked good. Yes, I judge books by the covers they have (and of course blurb, first couple pages, author recs... but mostly by the covers. Incidentally, this is also how I buy cds...) The Daily Show and the Colbert Show have become my go to for good book recs. Right now, I'm enjoying the book Bad Science about all the scientific truthiness behind gimmicks, 'studies', and surveys. I believe he also has a blog online, but the book itself is really interesting - pointing out all the mistakes in different studies, the fancy sounding jargon meant to disguise that in the end, the miracle product is just water. There's also an entire section on placebo pills and homeopathy which was fascinating.

Another book I'm reading is Poison, a novel of the Renaissance. Also interesting in a different way. I'm hesitant about reccing this one because I'm only a few chapters in, but it's from the first person point of view of a female poisoner in Borgia's court who wants to avenge her father, the late great personal poisoner of Borgia. It's got some interesting descriptions and details, but I'm not sure I'll be able to get into her pov.

I have a Kindle, but I'm buying books pretty evenly in print and not. Needless to say, it defeats the purpose of buying a Kindle (to save space in the house and prevent me from being buried under a pile of books OR to start using books as furniture) but some books are impulse buys, and others are collections (Terry Pratchett, etc.), and others just have...

wait for it...

Really pretty covers. SHINY *_*

And to end on a completely random note, IF you have a rock band drums set and IF you have a costco nearby, I would recommend driving by and getting the rock band ottoman. It's only $75 bucks and it is HUGE. It also makes a pretty rocking ottoman in and of itself (each of my family members has claimed it as their very own lol catfight) and is spacious and pretty damn spiffy looking. So maybe if you're just on the lookout for a nice ottoman, you should grab it.

MCRMCRMCRMCRMCR <333333 The last time I saw you was a year and a half ago at MSG! You will actually be selling merch that is not black! (I think). I believe that is the biggest change.

Good night.
