5 1/2 hour labs = lose. :< We had to dissect mice in the first part of it, we didn't have to kill them and the TA used my group's mouse for the demonstration so actually I didn't have to do a lot, but I got really sick and sooo the guys did everything. That was involved, peripherally or otherwise, with the mouse anyway. Winning at losing since 1985 ( Read more... )

One of the guys in my guild was in AB104 on wednesday. AB104. :O

Grats on your eye! As someone who failed the quest three times before managing to pass, let me give you some advice, for when you come to do it:

*Hit [v] to display health bars.

*The easiest way to pass this is to team up with another priest who needs to do the quest. Group up, and you can both accept the quest at the same time (make sure you have both completed the short pre-quest first though). One of you needs to cover the first half of the trail and can move around, the other needs to stand directly on top of the NPC and shouldn't move in case you get Cleaned up. With the first priest covering the first half of the trail and you picking up the peasants as they come into range for the second half of the trail, you shouldn't lose a single peasant.

*Oil of Immolation is a must. Pop one everytime the melee skeletons come running at you, they'll die pretty quick.

*I had incredible trouble doing this solo, although it could be because I'm a shadow priest and just can't sustain mana efficiency for that long. Drop a couple of ranks of renew and put rank 2 flash heal on your bar, and only throw out your low-rank renew, cure disease, and your rank 2 flash heal only as a last 'oh god that peasant is dying' resort. Once each group of peasants is getting close to the light, bolt back to the cave to pick up the next group of peasants before they start dying.

*It's really tough (I like to kick people who were all 'it's so easy what's your problem') and if you fail it a couple of times, don't worry. That doesn't make you a bad priest and you shouldn't worry about it.

*Do a dry run or two (without pots/going to the trouble for buffs) for practice to get the hang of it.

And in case you didn't know, you can do it without having an eye of shadow. So if you get bored farming for one just go off and try the quest.

The V-key won't show the peasant's HP bars anymore, and I've already remapped them. :| This is uncool. D: thank you though :D

uh there was something in the patch notes about that, now that I think about it. [v] does hostile bars, and there are two other combinations that will show friendly bars (only) and both sets. ctrl-v? shift-v? something like that. I can't remember, and I haven't actually logged in since the patch :/ assignments FTL.

Yeah, I remapped them but no matter when combination I used, their bars just wouldn't show up. D: It was uncool. I got it on my second try though :D Now to put minor beastslaying on it and farm for a spellpower enchant...
