I started playing FFXIII-2. Even though my tolerance is pretty low for time travelling shenanigans (I think I developed this aversion from Den-O, which demonstrated that the only appropriate response to messing with the timestream is JUST DON'T DO IT

haha yeah luckily we have two people playing so we progress in the evening with me on the controller and then during the day when I go to work tevriel runs around in circles in places we've already been killing things and upgrading our monsters and the crystarium and suchlike and then suddenly things die a lot faster when we progress the next evening! ;3
I finished FFXIII fond of the big doofus but so far he's been a bit cold which I don't like! BAD SNOW, STOP BEING AN ASS TO SERAH. ALSO he has a L'CIE TATTOO on his arm and NO-ONE HAS MENTIONED IT. I mean. IT'S CLEARLY VISIBLE wouldn't Serah SAY SOMETHING at some point about that?!
I really like Serah (even in the first game I liked her!) and I know she loves Snow really a lot and I will be really disappointed in Squeenix if they break them up. SERAH ♥ keep being amazing~

my problem with Hope is that in the first game he went from really annoying -> really annoying -> MASSIVE AND HILARIOUS CRUSH ON SNOW and I never had him in my party (three ladies all the way, hell yes). So now he's all long and vaguely attractive and I'm just like, whatever Hope, where is Fang and Lightning pls~
but, you know, I might be biased <.

Big and dumb isn't really my favorite character type really, he got better across the game but apparently not all that much better, as XIII-2 demonstrates! But I guess he is improved when Serah is around, although we never get to see that much, but she must see something in him. Also when Serah is not around he is apt to do things like, say, get slapped with another l'Cie brand, so I guess you should get on with your marriage kids
Serah is pretty amazing though! I didn't not like her in FFXIII so much as she wasn't around enough to like, what with being a crystal through most of it and all.
Yeah hope was kind of limp in the beginning but then he channelled it into planning homicidal revenge which I can respect. Probably not how Lightning intended her advice (where by 'advice' I mean 'combat knife') to be used but I can respect it.
everyone can do with more fang up in their life yeahhh
