Things that inspired me during 2009.
(Warning, image heavy!)
1. All movies by Wong Kar-Wai. He's my favourite filmmaker and a fucking genius. He's a cryptic storyteller who tells his stories in poignant shots and vibrant colors. My favourite of his is 'In the mood for love', immediately followed by 'Happy Together' (which is a slash story).
In the mood for love
'In the old days, if someone had a secret they didn't want to share... you know what they did? They went up a mountain, found a tree, carved a hole in it, and whispered the secret into the hole. Then they covered it with mud. And leave the secret there forever.'
Happy Together
'Turns out that lonely people are all the same.'
2. All movies by Wes Anderson. Completely different style from Wong Kar-Wai. His movies are clever and absolutely peculiar, you have to watch them to understand why, as I'm unable to explain it. You will either adore or loathe them. Obviously, I'm in love with the man.
The life acquatic with Steve Zissou
'Don't point that gun at him, he's an unpaid intern.'
The Royal Tenenbaums
'Anybody interested in grabbing a couple of burgers and hittin' the cemetery?'
The Darjeeling Limited
'Jack: What did he say?
Peter: He said the train is lost.
Jack: How can a train be lost? It's on rails. '
3. Reality Bites. Because I'm 25 and I feel like Lelaina is a version of myself of the '90s. And I love snobbish Troy.
'At the beep, please leave your name, number, and a brief justification for the ontological necessity of modern man's existential dilemma, and we'll get back to you.'
4. Lost in Translation. Honestly, did anybody not love this movie? It speaks directly to the heart of everybody who has been wandering around in unknown places not knowing what to do, until they met someone to share their loneliness with.
'Bob: What do you do?
Charlotte: I'm not sure yet, actually. '
5. The Crane wife 1&2 by The Decemberist. I listened to the song countless times.

8. The Administration Series. Great series. I truly loved it. The most amazing combination of human, realistic characters and intriguing plot. Not easy to find nowadays. Manna Francis has got real talent.
9. Louis Garrell. He's the most handsome man on Earth.
10.
Tumblr. There you can find all the pics of artists and photographers that inspires me. Most loved ones are Rinko Kawauchi,

M. Lewandoski.
11. Family. The two living beings you see in the pics below.
