Hey there, darlin'. I've been gettin' bigger and rounder and that's about it. There's a whole herd of things that happens when you're havin' a baby that no one bothers to warn you about. Ain't that some shit?

I wouldn't know from your side, but that sounds about like what Addie told me -- often at parade-ground volumes -- both times she was pregnant.

We've been all right. Joe's doing well, Addie's still trying to figure out when we're getting married again, and Rose is... well. A teenager. With everything that implies.

I ain't sure I'll ever be doin' it more than this once, need to have one critter before I can think about havin' another. And I try not to yell at Anrai too much, I did tell him this was what I wanted.

Lord, I don't even want to think about raisin' a teenager. I was my own special brand of pain in the ass and I hope this one takes after their daddy instead.

Addie has my sympathy though, I hated plannin' my weddin'. Damned near drove me crazy.
