"Don't lean," she didn't even look up before speaking up. Instead she simply continued to go through her papers getting them together. She wanted there to be a small wait before she addressed the issue at hand.

"I'm sure you know why you have been called to my office today."

Marisa continued to lean against the back of the chair after shifting her weight a bit. She looked down at her nails and started picking at them as if terribly bored. She decided to see how long she could play before the counselor decided to throw the gavel she had to have hidden in her desk at the student.

"Yes, yes, taunting the sukeban wasn't the smartest thing to do. I get it, ze. Fujiwara's got a temper and I like to play with fire a bit too much," she replied in as bored of a tone as her mood appeared to be.

"So there are other things to look into with you are there?" Her tone is amused, the question had been a trap. "But no, that is not why you're here. I'm sure you are aware of the incident this weekend on Saturday. There are a few concerns about it and there was quite the amount of discussion about it and about you. Is there anything you have to say?"

Damnit. Well, it's not as if the whole thing wasn't on the Intranet in bright red sparkly font. And if the Counselor looked into it, she'd see the death threats and, really, it'd probably get Fujiwara into more trouble than Marisa. Probably.

The blonde raised an eyebrow. "You're going to have to be a bit more specific, ze. No one's talked to me about anything that happened specifically on Saturday."

"I would think that the news had gotten out by now. Very well. School property was stolen this past Saturday and there is probable suspicion it was you," she takes a deep breath before continuing. Her tone has been even and though stern there was still a lightness to it. "I am not so quick to place blame but I am in agreement that you should be talked to about it first."

"Oh, that. Yeah, everyone in the comp sci classes know about that," Marisa commented, still just leaning against the back of the chair, thought she did look up from her nails for a moment.

"How kind of you. Does it make you feel better?"

"Why should it make me feel better to give you a proper chance to defend yourself?" She lets the silence fill the air for a moment. "But if you're not interested I can simply allow them to assume as they like and we can start your punishment. Traditionally this would involve contacting your father first before moving onto proper punishments for such a crime and of course local authorities." Was she bluffing? It was hard to say it might be extreme but it might not be.

"You have to remember, I'm used to being blamed for everything, ze. I think you're the first in months that's bothered to pretend to care," Marisa replied. "So, no, I'm really not that interested in lip service."

She snorted. "You're just doing the same thing everyone else does, Ms. S. I find it interesting that no one bothers to say why they think it's me not has anyone actually asked me if I stole the parts. Including you."

"I'm not portending, I care very much that everyone is treated fairly. As for why they assume you it's because of your record," it was the truth. It was easy for the administration to assume her based on that alone but it was Eiki's job to make sure students were dealt with properly. "I'm not asking you if you stole them, and I'm not going to. What I am asking you is what do you know about the situation. That is a completely different question though it is related. I have reason to believe that you are the type to know of these sorts of things, and many other happenings around the school."

Get a criminal record in an attempt to get Daddy's attention because he sucked and it follows you around forever.

"Whatever."

Marisa was indeed the 'type' to know what goes on around the school and who did what, when and why. She also knew exactly what happened to those computer parts but also told Fowl she wasn't going to rat him out. Now, how much did she feel like bothering to tell the damn counselor.

"Saturday morning, about a quarter after one, the security system in the Science Building was bypassed remotely and the cameras looped so they didn't show anything. Someone without a key to the lab picked the locks, took a CPU chipset and three sticks of memory. The security bypass was released, all systems set back to normal less than an hour,' Marisa rattled off.

She then went back to looking bored. "Dr. E. could've told you all that, ze."

"But I wanted you to tell me," because this told her more things than simply what happened to the equipment in that room. "Thank you for attempting to cooperate. Now I will ask you the question you want me to say so badly. Did you have anything to do with the theft or those who committed it?"

Marisa just rolled her eyes in response. "I was not inside the lab that night nor did I have any prior knowledge anything was going down."

"Thank you," against she pauses between questions. She had to think carefully on what she asked as her answered were mostly in what wasn't said. Really why did Marisa have to be such a difficult person to work with? "Do you have any knowledge or inclination on who might be involved?"

Marisa's expression remained slack for a few moments before she grinned. "Of course, I do. Who do you think I am, ze? They were sloppy."

She shifted, resting her forearms on the back of the chair, feeling more relaxed as she felt like she had the upper hand again.

"And would you care to share that information?" she already assumed the answer would be no but it didn't hurt to ask and give the chance to be honest. Either way she had reason and cause to look into what Marisa had been doing since that time on Saturday and keep an eye on her for the future. Though she was feeling more like a detective than a counselor....

"I might be a rat," Marisa said, quoting her Secret Admirer, "but I ain't gonna do the school's job for 'em. 'Sides, it's not like it'll be hard to figure out who the real culprit is if they actually put some effort into it, ze."

She smiled again. "Like I said, they were sloppy."
