Phase one: The party! In Meiling's room in East 607, cake, punch, and other snacks

[Having helped with the snacks, it's pretty much automatic that he's fallen into butler-mode and is bustling around making sure everything's going well. It's Meiling's room, but who makes the birthday girl do all the work on her birthday? Obviously it's up to him. Somebody make the poor, dumb boy stop working.]

[Phase 2]

[At least he's relaxing for the movie part, having nothing to do with its set-up. He's curious to see what films Meiling picked out in the end though, and as a consequence still hovering around the TV set-up.]

[ Meiling expected him to help out a little with the snacks, but not do more than that. She sidles up to him and clears her throat. ] Sakuya! What are you doing? [ It isn't particularly admonishing, but she does wag a finger. ] This is a party! You're not supposed to wait on us hand and shoe, you know.

Oh, Meiling!

[He manages to at least look slightly sheepish about being caught butlering]

Hahaha, I just want to make sure everything's in order and everyone can enjoy themselves without worry...

I'd worry a lot less if you would just try to have fun! [ Hands on her hips now, though she's still smiling. ] Do you remember what I said about that?

Ahaha... right, relaxing more?

That's right! Now open your mouth.

[But he automatically does it anyway; obedience is trained into him]

[ Open mouth; insert cookie. It's almond! ]

[He can't really protest with a cookie in his mouth, so he goes ahead an eats it, waiting until he's finished chewing and swallowing before speaking up]

I can feed myself, Meiling...

But it's like they say- [ She reaches up to tap his forehead. ] -the way to a man's brain is through his stomach!

[A momentary blush, but since it's Meiling and her use of phrases, he recovers and manages a smirk]

Does this mean you're after my heart?

[ She scratches the side of her head. ] Did I say it wrong, again?

Huh? Um, well, no... depending on what you meant by it, I suppose.

I meant... you should relax and have something to eat. [ She crosses her hands in the air. ] This is a "No Working Zone"!

Oh, okay then. [A part of him knows this will lead nowhere good, but he feels obligated to correct her on her phrase usage] Anyway, it's "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach".

[ Meiling freezes, and you can practically see the gears behind her eyes working hard at parsing that. ]

Oh! Haha~ [ She puts a fist to the side of her head and sticks her tongue out for a moment. ] Guess I did mess it up, huh? [ The redhead waves a hand. ] But you knew what I meant, Sakuya.
