OOC: So, I may have forgotten to say this, but Reso's students that went on the trip are not only getting a taste of the American music culture, but also getting to perform, live and on stage, at ACL.

Marisa's wasn't one for getting stagefright, but she wasn't exactly prepared for this. Mr. D. had sprung it on them and she had needed to retreat to the bathroom to talk herself into it. It wasn't that she had a bad voice, because she didn't - she was in chorus back at school - but she was worried what everyone would think. What if she messed up? What would it do to her image back at Reims.

Needless to say, Marisa was spending an awful lot of time backstage staring at herself in the mirror provided.

A knock comes on the door eventually, as well as a voice. "Yo. You alright in there?"

"Y-Yeah!"

Shit, that didn't sound nearly as confident as she meant it to. Quickly, Marisa ran her hands through her hair and exited, really hoping she didn't look even remotely as nervous as she felt.

Shin, who was a born performer, did not share her nervousness. Seeing one of his "bandmates" had disappeared though, he guessed what was happening and rushed to the bathroom, bass slung over his shoulder.

He emerged from behind Donovan, who was broad enough to hide two and a half of him.

"Relax. I'll cover for you if you make any mistakes. Which you won't."

"The boy's right," Reso shrugged, giving them both pats on the shoulder. "Just remember what I said in class about audiences. You can't see them. They're not even there."

Gods, this was embarrassing. Marisa rarely got this nervous. Maybe it was being back in America that was doing it - some little irrational fear that man would find her again. She so needed to get over it. Deep breath...

"Of course, I won't, ze." Marisa flashed them both a grin. "Is Mystia ready?" The younger girl was the real singer on the trip.

"Shin, go check on out little bird. I'll go talk with the stage manager to make sure we're all set to go as soon as you kids are ready, aight?" Reso spoke to the spikey little man, giving one last look to Marisa.

"You're gonna shine tonight, shooting star. You all are."

Shin nodded and took off into the maze of backstage corridors.

"Oiiii! Sparrow!" He called her nickname, knowing she seemed to like it when people used it.

Marisa gave a bit of a nervous laugh. "Yeah. Course we are." She tilted her head. "A bit more warning next time?"
