SUMMARY: Haru hears music while he's sculpting and investigates!
Haru loved it when he had the art studio to himself. The pottery room door was ajar and he'd pushed open a window to let in the cool night breeze as he worked. He'd been working on his project for a while now and knew he'd be done soon if he could just sit and concentrate. He'd been too distracted lately by far.
He was sliding a thumb down the smooth clay thigh of his statue when he heard it. So soft at first he thought he'd imagined it but then it grew louder. Music... a piano to be precise. Pausing in his work, he sat and listened for a few minutes. It wasn't a recording... not sounding like that, but who was in the music room this late at night? And why does the song sound so... sad.
Ever curious, Haru wiped his hands clean on a rag and then walked out into the hallway, following the dulcet yet melancholy tones until he'd reached one of the music rooms at the end of the hall. He pushed the half open door enough to peek inside. It was dimly lit but he could make out someone sitting at the large grand piano near the window. He listened until the person paused in their playing for a moment.
"Hello?" he asked. His voice wasn't loud but in the quiet room it seemed like a shout.
