Vriska hadn't forgotten about it. She'd just gotten held up by other things she had going on - namely, a science test, a lit essay, and a couple of nights being up too late playing an MMORPG. With all those irons in the fire, well...her distraction was understandable.

Still, it wasn't good to put things off too long. So, she made her way up, not bothering to knock. "Nice tunes."

With the door open, Marisa wasn't expecting a knock from most people. This was why she was laying with her head toward the door so she could catch the movement while she played her game.

When Vriska arrived, the upperclassman glanced up before focusing on her game again. "Sup, Spider. Have a seat. Deal with the cold."

"Thanks." She took that offered seat, then took off her glasses, wiping them off on her shirt and then repositioning them on her nose. "What's that?", she asked, tucking a particularly unruly bit of hair behind her ear.

The temperature? A little cold for her liking, but she could deal.

"Ultimate Boy - standard 2D platform game, ze. Almost as a check point," Marisa replied. "Gimme a sec. Make yourself at home."

Within reason.

"They say there's no school like the old school of gaming. Even if MMOs are more my speed. By the way, that mod? The one that sets everyone up with street clothes? It's sweet."

As much of a compliment as she paid to anything. What could Vriska say? She was picky.

Marisa grinned a bit at the compliment. "The coding's child's play, ze. The key is getting it to mesh with the MMO's specific graphics coding so it overrides the standard equip function," she explained. "Doesn't mean much if the graphics of the mod are shit, though."

Hitting her check point, Marisa saved and then paused, setting the game system on the kotatsu before sitting up and smirking. "And right now there's only one graphic out there."

She did only make it for Nepeta. Too bad for everyone else.

"One of these days I'm going to have to take the time to sit down and really look into how all that works." Or have someone else she knew just code a patch for her. Or find out what Marisa's preferred brand of licorice was. One of those things, anyway.

"I'll give her credit; she is good at that style." Irritatingly so, at times.

"But anyway. What was it you were scheming about?"

Marisa's lips curled up and she snagged her laptop off the end of the couch. "Scheming? Who said anything about me scheming?"

She opened the computer and booted it up. "I'm giving you a tool to use at your leisure."

Vriska blinked at that grin, seemingly caught off-guard for a moment. If this wasn't scheming, then what was? Then again, she tended to see interactions with others either in terms of scheming or in terms of carrying out a scheme. This counted as scheming, in those terms.

It was then, at Marisa's words, that she finally returned that grin. "Oh?"

With the laptop up and running, Marisa's fingers flew across the keyboard and she clicked several times with the touchpad. She was pulling up the web page she'd been on earlier in the week.

"So, I hear there's a problem with your class, ze."

"There are a number of problems with the class. The fact that the boys are idiots who wouldn't know being asked out from a punch in the face, the fact that at least one kid still pees in the pool..." That wasn't even touching the insufferable pricks, mind.

Marisa chuckled. "Didn't I tell you boys were stupid? They don't get much more intelligent by the time they reach my age, ze. You're gonna have to be a bit more direct with Egbert without getting aggressive."

A few more clicks and Marisa turns the laptop to Vriska to take a look at. "As for your other problem, I'm going to introduce you to something called Methylene blue."
